The largest island in the U.S. Virgin Islands at 82 square miles, this beautiful Caribbean destination is home to 60,000 people, white sand beaches and the Cane Bay Wall – a must visit for SCUBA divers.
As an unincorporated territory of the United States, passports are not required for U.S. citizens to visit St. Croix. Travel around the island is easy - taxis are plentiful, but if you're adventurous, you may prefer to explore on a rented scooter. As the home to one of the largest oil refineries in the world, gas is generally cheaper on St. Croix than it is on the mainland U.S.
Away from the water, rainforest treks and tours are recommended, along with a visit to the Cruzan Rum Distillery, producers of Cruzan Rum and Southern Comfort.
