One of the first countries to shake off the heavy weight of the iron curtain, the Czech Republic has earned its 'must visit' status. With its central European location - the country borders Germany, Poland, Austria and Slovakia - stunning historical architecture, beautiful scenery, renowned beer and reputation as an excellent value, the Czech Republic has become a destination unto itself.

Most visitors start their trip in Prague, the capital and the largest city. The historic palace and beautiful bridges shouldn't be missed. From there, visitors can head to spa centers like Karlovy Vary, or sample the pilsner wares in Plzen. Other top destinations include Cesky Krumlov, with its own historical castle and meandering river and the Krkonose Mountains for active adventure.
